L'artisan Seville A L'aube perfume review

One of the best things about blogging is discovering London's hidden gems, and the L'artisan store in Covent Garden is a must visit for anyone who loves fragrance:

Located next to the markets of Covent Garden, the store has a very traditional Parisian feel, and upon entering, you are presented with row upon row of unique fragrances to choose from.

Out of their existing range, my favourite would probably be the Mure et musc perfume. I also liked their new Seville A L'aube perfume. The scent came about as a collaboration between writer Denyse Beaulieu and perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, and is a rich blend of orange blossom, jasmine, beeswax, lavender, incense and frankincense.

As you'd expect from an orange blossom scent, it starts off light and fresh. However throughout the course of the day, it warms up and becomes a richer, more balmy and almost oriental scent.

At £88 a bottle, it falls into the category of being a luxury purchase, but you do get 100mls of this beautifully unique fragrance, and being an EDP, a few sprays will last you the entire day.

Where are your favourite places to shop for perfume? Do you have a favourite summer scent?

Ps. Congratulations to Aimee who is the winner of my Maxfactor giveaway. Aimee, can you please email me your address, and I'll arrange for your prize to be sent out asap.
