Neom perfect night's sleep kit review

These days I pretty much fall asleep straight away, however I do find it hard to unwind, meaning more often than not, I end up staying late long past my bedtime. With that in mind, I decided to give Neom perfect night's sleep kit go:

Neom perfect night's sleep kit, Neom tranquillity
 Neom perfect night's sleep kit*
(I've got sample sizes here, but the actual kit will come with 3 full sized products)

The three piece set comes with a full sized bath foam, scented candle and pillow spray, all in Neom's relaxing tranquility fragrance (English lavender, sweet basil and jasmine). It's currently on offer for £55 too, a saving of £19.50 compared to the usual RRP!

Since using this Neom set, it's definitely made me feel more relaxed and ready for bed. As the weather gets colder, I'm more inclined to light a candle whilst reading in bed and using the pillow mist helps to tell my brain it's time to switch off and go to sleep.

As heavy sleeper I can't comment on that aspect, however I will say that its a lovely little set to use in the evenings. It's aromatherapy based too so well worth checking out if like myself you also struggle to unwind and relax at the end of a long day.

Have you tried anything from the Neom tranquility range? How do you unwind and relax at the end of the day?

Joop! Miss Wild perfume - sponsored video

Whether you admit it or not, there's a naughty side in all of us, and this month Joop! celebrates that with the launch of their new fragrance Joop! Miss Wild:

I always find it interesting to see where the inspiration for a fragrance comes from, and apparently for Joop! Miss Wild, it's all about that exhilarating, crazy moment when you fall for the bad boy.

'For every girl, bad boys are the ultimate treat. The nice girl always falls for the wild guy.
She is sweet, adorable, fragile even. But when they are together, she becomes someone else.
Free, indomitable, sexy and wild. With him it feels so bad to be good.

Described as an 'addictive floral oriental' Joop! Miss Wild opens with notes of vibrant pink berries, followed by sweet vanilla and base note of fiery rum accord. I love the little bow with skulls on the end too - the perfect contrast between girly and wild.

Having given it a little spritz yesterday, I'd say the description is spot on, It's sweet and girly but still very seductive and fun. Definitely one to check out if you're on the hunt for a new winter or evening fragrance.

To go alongside the launch, Joop! have also created a sweet, sexy or naughty quiz (accessible via their Facebook page), a fun interactive way of seeing just how wild you really are. Apparently I'm a sweet wild, with just a touch of naughtiness below the surface!
How did you do on the quiz? Will you be giving this new perfume a try?

What did you see today?

This week Boots set me a rather interesting challenge. It's national eye health week and to help spread the message they wanted to me photograph various stages through my day - a follow me around post if you like. Now seeing as I love watching vlogs, I thought it might be fun to do something similar myself:

It all starts at 7.30, when my alarm goes off. After 5-10 mins
of snoozing, I finally drag myself out of bed and blearily scroll
through Instagram and Twitter as I get ready.

Seeing as this was done on a week day, the next few hours were spent at work.
Unfortunately nothing interesting to document, but I am lucky that my job is quite
interactive, something which I really enjoy. Around 1pm I grabbed some lunch, and on
this particular day, I was able to pop home for a yummy feta cheese and parma ham salad.

Recently I've gotten into the habit of gyming after work, but on this
particular day I decided to go shopping instead. Exercise guilt definitely
got the better of me though, and I went for a short walk afterwards.

If you follow me on Twitter then you may know I'm off to New York next
week. So shopping was mostly stocking up on travel essentials as well as
adding to my American wishlist. I picked up a couple of work outfits too.

Finally it was back home for some late night blogging, before
settling down with a nice mug of hot chocolate and reading in bed.

I hope you found this blog post vaguely interesting and in the spirit of national eye health week, don't forget to care, sun protect and check your eyes regularly. Not only are they the windows into our soul, they can reveal a whole host of health problems too (eg. diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure).

What does your average day look like? Do you ever get exercise guilt too?

London fashion week - Eugene Lin SS14

There's nothing like an international event to make you appreciate living in a such a wonderful city and for me London fashion week has always been such a highlight. This season, I was once again given the chance to go backstage and sit on the front row for Eugene Lin, one of my favourite designers at Fashion scout:

Make up was once again sponsored by The Body Shop and head make up artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis was kind enough to talk us through the inspiration and key products for the look. The idea was to create something that was androgynous and military, but still very modern and with a touch of prettiness.

Key products were the Colour crush lipstick in 105 coral cutie (used with a flat brush for eyeliner), Moonstone eyeshadow (to brighten up the eyes), Honey bronze shimmering lip balm (to highlight cheeks and brows) and Colour crush lipstick in 320 berry in love (for a natural lip).

I loved this design and will definitely be recreating the look myself!

Can I please just own the entire collection?!

For SS14, Eugene Lin took inspiration from old Valkyrie mythology but kept his designs very modern and precise, ensuring once again that all the outfits were super wearable and feminine. On each individual piece, the details were subtle, but put together it was oh so beautiful.

Fabric cross overs were inspired by the folding of Valkyrie wings, slim line pencil skirts had loose pleats for movement and texture and fine feather prints added extra dimension to the collection. SS14 also saw the addition of handbags and shoes, and I'm now currently lusting after a pair of those gorgeous black and white heels!

What do you think about the new collection? Will you be recreating the makeup look at home?

Beauty Q&A with Holly Willoughby and Oral B

Something a little bit different today. A few weeks ago, I had the chance to put forward 3 questions for Holly Willoughby and she's kindly answered them all on video for me. If like myself you'd love to know the secrets to her radiant complexion or what her favourite lipgloss is, then click on the video below:

On a little side note, if you've ever wondered how she keeps her smile looking so bright and healthy, then apparently Oral B 3D white luxe healthy shine toothpaste is the answer! It claims to be their most effective toothpaste yet, removing up to 80% of surface stains in just 2 weeks as well as preventing tartar formation for a brighter whiter smile.

Having tried it out, I have to say it's my favourite Oral B toothpaste yet. It doesn't have your typical minty taste (so takes a bit of getting used to), but once you do the effects are worth it. From the first use it left my mouth feeling fresh and clean, and over time a little brighter looking too.

Did you enjoy the beauty Q&A video? Have you tried any of the Oral B toothpastes?
