Glossybox and Love me beauty - July 2014

Despite being a beauty addict with far more products than I could ever need I still find myself looking forward to beauty boxes every month. There's just something so exciting about a beautifully packaged box of goodies landing on your doorstep and I love trying out new brands whilst at the same time rediscovering old favourites. This month Glossybox have gone for an American inspired Stars and Stripes theme whereas Love me beauty have surprised with a generous 7 products in their box:

The limited edition Glossyboxes have always been my favourite and I like that this month the American theme has been carried through to the products inside. Carmex has always been a favourite of mine, so although it's not particularly high end it's a welcome addition none the less. After hearing so many good things about Tarte cosmetics I'm excited to try the new lights camera lashes mascara, especially as it claims to lengthen, volumise, curl and condition. There's also an oil free perfecting eyeshadow primer, Bellapierre lipstick and Color club nail varnish which has been especially formulated for this box. Unfortunately neither the lipstick or nail varnish are shades that suit me, but as they're both so beautiful I'm sure I won't have much trouble passing them onto a more appreciative home.

Love me beauty July 2014

As always with Love me beauty there are 3 boxes to choose from and this month I opted for menu 1 which contains a mini Lashem sample, Ofra pressed eyeshadow and brow liner, So susan brow powder and mascara, Teashed tea bags and a surprise full sized Weleda body lotion. Love me beauty have always been generous with their samples and this month with so many full sized products inside the box adds up to a total of over £60! Looking at some other blog posts part of me wishes I'd gone for menu 2 instead with it's beautiful rose lipgloss and taupe eyeshadow. None the less, the beauty of being able to pick your own box means that all the products inside will suit me and I'm particularly looking farward to trying out the brow products whilst sipping on my Northern brew tea.

Are you a Glossybox/Love me beauty subscriber? Do you ever get box envy too?

  2. Hi Fei! I've unsubscribed from Glossybox a while back because I realised I had way to much skincare and beauty products to go through and decided I would buy the products I really wanted - separately! But I always get tempted by posts like these... and the pretty boxes! How are you liking the lippie? xx

  4. I used to be a Glossybox subscriber but had to cancel due to continuous boxes turning up that were not catered for me at all. Very disappointing when you complete a beauty profile in the hope that you will receive things more likely to work for you, and to get excited for each month! The last straw was when they sent two out of five products that was for curly hair - having thin, fine and stick straight hair, it just felt like I might as well spend my money elsewhere! Has that ever happened to you?? Xx
