Monday wishlist - beauty, fashion and home

It's been a while since I've done a wishlist, but thanks to a long weekend of online shopping and with Autumn just around the corner, I thought I'd put together my favourite beauty, fashion and home picks for the upcoming season:

1. Summer may be nearly over for another year, but in the Autumn I like to layer cute dresses with thick cardigans and ankle boots for a casual cosy look. I love the delicate floral print on this French connection dress and it's versatile enough for both work and play.

2. Of course you can't go wrong with a classic white t-shirt and jeans combo and I like that this one has some pretty lace detailing around the shoulders.

3. For the Christmas party season I'm tempted by this French connection angelfire sparkle dress. I love the addition of the sparkly beads and it's a super flattering cut too, perfect for hiding any excess festive weight.

4. I'm currently on the lookout for a new handbag, and although it's not my usual style, I love the look of this tweed and leather bag.

5. When it comes to perfume Marc Jacobs can do no wrong and after smelling this at his recent Tweet shop, Daisy dream has gone straight to the top of my wishlist.

6. Moving onto a couple of home accessories - I'm going to be getting a blogging desk very soon and can't wait to decorate it with all my favourite bits and bobs. I've always found scented candles really relaxing and to create the perfect ambiance I'd love to have Jo Malone blackberry and bay burning in the background.

7. It wouldn't be a blogger's desk without some flowers so as soon as I get myself sorted I'll be heading to Ikea for these pretty orchid plants.

8. Finally I want to do more juicing and smoothie making this Autumn. I've seen quite a few rave reviews for the Breville blend active and it certainly seems very convenient as you can blend straight into the bottle. Perfect for healthy eating (or drinking) on the go.

Do you have a favourite smoothie recipe? What's on your wishlist this Autumn?

Marc Jacobs Tweet shop

How cool is this? Being a blogger I spend a huge part of my time on social media, but these days it's becoming more and more a part of our everyday lives and today Marc Jacobs will open it's first ever UK Tweet shop in London's Covent Garden:

 Marc Jacobs Tweet shop

Marc Jacobs keyrings and mini perfumes

Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume

 Marc Jacobs handbags

 Marc Jacobs manicure station

What's a Tweet shop I hear you ask? This video explains it in more detail, but basically it's a really cool pop up store, the only difference being that no money switches hands. Instead you simply tweet your most creative photo in exchange for a free Marc Jacobs prize and everyone is guaranteed to be a winner.

Most people will have a choice of a deluxe Marc Jacobs perfume sample, Daisy inspired keyring or a free manicure with their new nail varnish line. Be creative though, as you could be in with a chance of winning a Marc Jacobs handbag.

I was lucky enough to attend the preview launch yesterday and although my tweet wasn't creative enough to win a handbag, I did get my hands on the rather pretty Daisy keyring shown above - perfect timing as current keyring has just fallen apart!

The pop up store is only open from 15-17th August, but if you're around in central London this weekend then I'd definitely recommend a visit. Not only will you get to win some cool prizes, it's also a good chance sit back, relax, enjoy some drinks and sample all the the lovely Marc Jacobs fragrances (I'm currently in love with the new Daisy dream perfume).

Have you ever been to a Tweet shop before? Will you be visiting the store this weekend?

Summer highlights

Firstly sorry for the lack of blog posts this month. August saw the start of a new job for me and along side that a permanent move back to London. Rather annoyingly my laptop decided to play up as soon as I moved back and coupled with the beautiful weather outside I ended up taking a bit of an impromptu break. They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder and after a year splitting my time between 2 cities I couldn't wait to catch up with friends and enjoy all that London has to offer:

Making the most of the weather and going for a stroll along the Thames

Dim sum at one of my favourite restaurants in Chinatown

Soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying street performances along South Bank

Summer cocktails at Radio rooftop bar

Catching up with old friends and enjoying dinner at Burger and Lobster

Taking in all the famous sites and feeling super grateful to be back in London

Having taken a bit of a mini break I can't wait to get back into blogging again. Luckily the new job means more free time and I'm excited to share with you all my favourite beauty products, outfits, restaurant reviews and general life chit chat. I'm currently on the lookout for a new computer so if you have any desktop or laptop recommendations then please do let me know.

Have you been to any of the places mentioned above? What are your summer highlights?
