January empties

Empties posts are always one of my favourite to write, partly because its a visual reminder of what I've managed to use up and partly because it means I can finally throw away all the empty bottles and make room for some of the newer products in my collection. With a grand total of 9 products, January turned out to be a surprisingly good month for clearing out my stash:

Soap and glory greatest scrub of all
Decleor face wash
Concoction cashmere + white lily conditioner
Philip Kingsley body building shampoo
Liz Earle botanical shine shampo
Green & spring shower & bath wash
Dove firming body lotion
Emma Hardie amazing face cleansing wash
Batiste oriental dry shampoo

As usual, it's turned out to be a real mix of every day essentials. Because my hair is so long at the moment, I seem to be going through shampoo and conditioner like crazy. In the last 2 months alone I've managed to get through 3 full sized bottles - all 3 are really good though and I would happily repurchase once I've gone through my current stash. The other haircare product was Batiste oriental dry shampoo. Although it did the job well it wasn't one of my favourite scents, in future I'd probably go for the Brunette version or one of their fruitier scents.

Haircare aside, I was pleased to have finally finished Emma Hardie amazing face wash and Soap and glory greatest scrub of all. Both products seemed to be never ending and although I enjoyed using them (the Emma Hardie one in particular is really good), I'm keen to try something new. Please do let me know if you have any face wash recommendations for dry/combination skin.

How did you get on this month? Which products do you find the hardest to use up?

  3. You really did well with using up your products! I have to start using up some of mine too :) I personally do not have dry skin, quite the opposite really, but i find that the body shop's vitamin E face wash leaves my skin really plump and moisturised :) It is really gentle on the skin too~

    Have a great day! <3

  6. My favourite P&L kinda post! I'm on the lookout for a decent face wash myself. The last few that I've used have been way to drying. I think my skin isn't as oily as it used to be.
