As the name suggests, the perfume smells very green, with notes of bergamont, geranium, damask rose, lavender and patchouli. For me, it opens with a very zesty citrus scent, then develops into something a little more floral, and finally settles to a warm botanical scent with hints of wood.
As you can see from the photo, the perfume comes in a old style glass bottle, with a rounded glass lid, that reminds me somewhat of Chanel perfumes- simple yet timeless.I normally go for sweet fruity floral scents, so it's not my usual fragrance, but since receiving the perfume, I've worn it nearly everyday as it's so easy to wear and I like that it's sophisticated yet at the same time very uplifting and unique.
Have you tried this perfume? What's your favourite perfume this Spring?
I love the packaging its very pretty!!
ReplyDeletei have never tried any liz earle perfumes!! its not the products that first comes to mind when i think of them but i am very interested in this..i know liz earle is a great company !!
Steph xox- The packaging is lovely isn't it, so much nicer than the usual cardboard box. I know what you mean, when you think of Liz Earle the first thing that comes to mind is skincare, but the perfume is definitely worth a sniff x
ReplyDeleteHad a sniff of this when I was in the Slone Square store the other week. It's a gorgeous scent, so fresh.
ReplyDeleteCaroline Cooch- It really is, it's like all the essential oils are freshly mixed. Glad you like it too x
ReplyDeleteI have this perfume, and I really love it when it's first sprayed but then I find it a little overpowering generally. It does depend partly on how I'm feeling though and it seems to smell different on different people too! x
ReplyDeleteRachel- That's a shame. It's frustrating when you like the initial scent but not the base notes. A few people have commented on how it never seems to smell the same x
ReplyDeleteHello hun, i recieved this recently and i feel exactly the same because although its not a perfume i would uusually buy i have found myself using it nearly everyday? Its just fresh and invigorating xx
ReplyDeleteI got this fragrance too, I love it soo much I spray it around my room to give it that fresh feel :)
ReplyDeletenicoletta - Glad I'm not the only one who thought so, just goes to show it's good to try new things and not get stuck in a rut :) x
ReplyDeleteWande's World- Glad you like it too, your room must smell so natural and fresh! x
ReplyDeletehow long does it last? x
ReplyDeletePatricia- I sprayed some 7-8 hours ago and can still smell it on myself, but if I was going out, I'd reapply so it was a bit stronger x
ReplyDeleteWe dont get liz earle in india...but that packaging is super pretty and fresh looking.
ReplyDeletePeachesandBlush- You're right, I guess it reflects the perfume quite well x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bottle - I normally go for more floral scents, too, so it's interesting that you like it. It's just annoying that I can't go and sample it anywhere! x
