Revlon cherries in the snow

Cherries in the snow was one of the first colours Charles Revson created for Revlon, and having tried it out, I'm not surprised it's still going strong nearly 60 years later:

Revlon cherries in the snow, Revlon cherries in the snow nail polish swatch, revlon cherries in the snow nail polish review, revlon cherries in the snow NOTD, peonies and lilies, revlon cherries in the snow nail enamel review, revlon cherries in the snow nail enamel swatchRRP £6.49*, available from Boots and Superdrug

I'd describe it as a gorgeous glossy red, with just a hint of pink. Red nail varnish is such a classic, and the touch of pink makes it just that little bit more youthful and fun.

For such an old nail varnish, the formula is surprisingly pigmented. The above photo shows just one coat, and it was touch dry almost straight away.

There is also a matching lipstick, which I'm now really keen to try.

Have you tried this colour? What are you must have nail varnishes?

  6. You pulled off the red so beautifully! I'm really feeling this shade of red, not particularly strong/intimidating, yet bold at the same time. Thanks for giving a little bit of history on this shade, because I had no idea this was one of the first to come from Revlon.

I love your blog! Would you like to follow each other?
