Over Christmas, I usually pack my bags and head home to Birmingham for a few weeks of family time, homecooked food and relaxation. During the festive period, there are numerous family dinner parties, plus I always try and meet up with some old school friends. As I didn't have any big nights out planned, I kept my make up choices very safe and neutral.

Packing was a very last minute affair this time, and I think that rather showed in my choice of make up. Luckily, I had everything I needed, but I ended up taking an excessive amount of eyeliners, none of which I actually used.

Special mentions go to the Garnier tinted eye roll on for keeping my dark circles and puffiness at bay, The body shop dark brown eyeshadow and Maxfactor mascara for helping to enlarge my eyes, and finally the 17 roasted red lipstick for being the most gorgeous easy to wear holiday lip colour.

Did you have a good Christmas break? What were your hero make up products?

  1. My hero has to be my MAC Paint Pot in Let's Skate (LE), it is a pale creamy colour with lots of gold and pink sparkles - so quick but so festive!
