Superdrug spring summer 2010

Last week I was kindly invited to a Superdrug event to promote their range of own brand products and to showcase some of the new make up products that will be hitting the shelves over the next few months. There are loads of new products so without further ado:

Click on the photos for a bigger image.

Sleek

Sleek will be bring out 2 more limited edition eyeshadow palettes, 2 new pout polishes and some gorgeous new liquid eye liner colours. Thanks to Lina for the eyeliner photo.

Gosh

Gosh will be adding 3 new primers to their range (for face, eyes and lips) as well as some new nail varnish colours, lip glosses and glossy jumbo lip pencils. They've also recently brought out a new max intensity mascara.

Famous by Sue Moxley

Their spring summer range focuses on brightly coloured eyeshadows, Shimmerbrick stlye highlighters and eye shadow palettes.

Make Up Academy

Superdrug are also launching a budget range of cosmetics, with everything priced at £1.

Scarlett and Crimson

Ruby and Mille have created a cosmetics and accessories range aimed at the teenage market.

As well as all the make up they also had skincare and toileties on display, including their vitamin E range, a skin rescue oil (similar to Bio-oil), and Lula Bloom, a range of floral scented body care products that smelt beautiful.

At the end we were given a very generous goodie bag containing a selection of skincare and make up products which I will be trying out and reviewing shortly. Let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like to know more about.

  2. Oo lucky you! I'm excited for the new GOSH items :) The Sue Moxley stuff sounds good too. It'll be interesting to see what own brand items Superdrug bring out. What's the green stuff in the bottles? x

  4. Redz246- Do you mean the one pound range? To be honest I'd stay away from the blusher as its very sheer and glittery, but the lipglosses looked ok x

Kim- I was very impressed with the Sue moxley smoky eye palette, very smooth pigmented colours. The green bottles are their spa range of toiletries, its got a really fresh aloe vera cucumber type smell to it x

Tillyness86- Unfortunately not, most of the new make up wasn't available yet x

  19. Are Sleek changing the colour of their palettes? I really hope not because the pink and white doesn't look as nice as the black packaging they currently have.

  20. Rhamnousia- All the permanent ones on display were still in the black packaging so I'm pretty sure its just the limited edition ones that are in the pink and white packaging x

  23. CherryChan- Is that the BarryM event on Thu? Thats an open invite one and anyone can go.

This event was invite only and on the day they had lots of stalls set up and you went over to each one and they told us a bit about the brand and showed us some products.

Not really sure what to expect from Barry M tbh, they've said there's make overs, manicures and skin testing though.

Which branch are you going to? x

  24. Hi, thank you so much for these pics (stolen with your celly? ahah ) can I ask you something?
Is the Sleek Bohemian palette (I assume that's the white one) composed of shimmery or matt colors? Looks nice!

And how is the yellow pout polish on lips? The jade eyeliner is awesome, did you know some people on ebay have been selling that for months? I guess there's someone who works there who's making good money out of her ebay transactions ahah

  25. Its weird, I spoke to another blogger who wasn't allowed to take photos but everyone was really happy for us to snap their products.

I *think* the palettes were shimmery but I had so many swatches on my hand that day that I'm not 100% sure. I've emailed sleek and I'll let you know what they say.Unfortunately I didn't swatch the yellow pout polish. Sorry I'm not more helpful.

Lol at the Jade eyeliner, they are lovely though, I love the bright colours! x

  30. wow cant wait to try some of those products, the gosh lip primer for one! would love to see any reviews you fancy doing on any of these! I wonder what the makeup academy stuff will be like? did it seem high quality for a cheaper brand?xxx

  31. Francesca- Most of the products aren't out yet but I've got the green eyeliner from sleek with I'll be reviewing soon. The MUA stuff was ok for a quid, but definitely not as nice as brands like sleek. I wasn't impressed with the blusher as it was very sheer but the lipglosses seems ok x
